Inspection of the hull

First step after Noddi is dry: inspection of the living works. We are positively surprised by their condition and do not notice any major problem. The antifouling, installed 3 years ago at the time of the release, is still doing its job well.

We then decide to remove the successive layers of antifouling that accumulate on the hull, so that when the time comes, we can paint on a healthy surface. We opt for the "hard" method with a scraper equipped with a tungsten blade that allows to scrape efficiently, provided that you are in good shape! It is about 5 superimposed layers of hard matrix that we have to scrape. In the middle of June, this exercise of several days makes us sweat with Leo.

When we start scraping, we have the bad surprise to feel small bubbles bursting under our pressure. The smell they give off fixes us: there is osmosis. We cross our fingers so that these bubbles, of the size of an uncle, do not increase elsewhere on the hull. Fortunately it is the case, we find some small bubbles that we pierce and grind to the fiber. The latter is intact, we are relieved. All that remains is for the 11 months of dry storage to do their job by drying the affected areas.
